David Barrow MAFA

This iconic painting was painted in 2004 and depicts the northern soul fans leaving the Wigan Casino at 8am. It highlights the sensation of going into daylight after hours of darkness. Many would be going to Wigan baths to shower and fresher up ready to move on to another soul event probebly the Ritz in Manchester. The painting is signed on the back by Russ Winstanly and Dean Parrish with the message ' To David Barrow Best wishes I'm On My Way Dean Parrish ' it also has the studio stamps. The painting has been used many times as a poster for many northern soul events including one in Berlin, a sold out print and a cd cover for Dean Parrish.
